Home – School communication

A close working partnership with families is essential to the ethos of Baytree and to the success of our pupils. Day to day contact is facilitated through a daily diary for all pupils. Parents/carers are also encouraged to keep regular face to face or telephone contact with their child’s teacher. Senior staff and the Headteacher also welcome contact with parents/carers and endeavour to respond to email/telephone calls or requests for meetings as quickly as possible.

If you have any queries you can contact the school office on 01934 427555. If we are not able to take your call, please leave a message, and we will return your call.

We publish a fortnightly newsletter with information about events, activities and news from Baytree and the community. The school diary dates section is regularly updated with upcoming events. If you would prefer to receive this as an e-mail rather than a paper copy, please send your e-mail address to
baytree.spec@n-somerset.gov.uk.

Notices about school events, visits and special dates are sent out to parents on a regular basis. We hold parents evenings during the school year, and a letter will be sent out with details of times and dates.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to ring the school Tel No: 01934 427555. It will not be possible to speak to the class teacher during lesson times but if you leave a message they will be able to ring you back.

We will be pleased to see parents at any time. If you wish to visit the school please ring and make an appointment as it is not possible for the teacher to be interrupted in the middle of a lesson and the Headteacher may have other appointments.
