Dear Parents/Carers

As a school, we are currently experiencing a significant rate of illness, including cases of sickness and diarrhoea, colds as well as active cases of Covid-19. We are discussing the situation with Public Health England and are endeavouring to do all we can to mitigate any spread of infection including deep cleaning of classrooms, increasing handwashing and utilising PPE.

To support us to manage this situation we ask that if your child is unwell that they stay at home until well enough to return to school which will help in reducing the spread of infection.

The increase in illness has resulted in staff absences over the last week and we, therefore, run the risk of the potential need to close a class if we are unable to staff the classroom safely.

This will of course always be a last resort but the safety and wellbeing of our children and young people is always our priority.

We would like to thank you for your continued support and understanding and we hope that
you and your family stay well.

Yours sincerely

Ed Bowen-Roberts
